Overview
Each year, beginning in the fall, the Office of Public Health partners with the Georgetown HR Benefits and Wellness team and Safeway Pharmacy to offer vaccine clinics to the Georgetown community. Vaccine clinics take place at both the Hilltop and Capitol campuses. Vaccine clinics for the 2025-2026 school year have concluded. During this time, 2,234 community members visited our clinics, and received nearly 3,700 vaccines. This page will be updated with information for clinics starting in fall 2026 as it becomes available.
Health Insurance Coverage
Please note that you will need to provide your health insurance information at the vaccine clinics. Most health insurance plans cover the seasonal flu vaccine at no cost. Regardless of your insurance plan, the flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be available at no cost to you at our on-campus clinics. However, you will be responsible for covering co-pays or costs associated with any vaccines other than flu and COVID-19.
For staff and faculty covered under a Georgetown University-sponsored health plan, you can learn more about getting your vaccine on the following websites:
- Kaiser Permanente
- CareFirst
- UnitedHealthcare
- CVS Caremark Rx (for CareFirst and UHC members)
For students enrolled in Georgetown University Student Health Insurance (SHI), please present your health insurance ID card.
Immunization Records
If you need a copy of your immunization records from a previous Safeway clinic, please go to Safeway’s website or stop by any Safeway Pharmacy.
If you have any questions, please contact the Public Health team at publichealth@georgetown.edu.
